BGW Elves
Perdeu Glimpse of Nature e alguns dos elfos que defeniam o deck, no entanto ainda comba bastante bem. Com a ajuda de Ranger of Eos e Regal Force, e claro Fauna Shaman dá para ter sempre as criaturas certas na altura certa. Elvos ainda é sem dúvida um dos decks a ponderar nesta época.

Para quem as conhece do tempo de Lorwyn este deck não é nenhuma novidade, extremamente versátil, passa rapidamente de control para agro acabando o jogo em 2 ou 3 turnos, com a novidade de poder ter o canivete suíço do magic actual Jace, the Mind Sculptor, este vai ser certamente um dos decks mais jogados pelos fans de control.

Quem não se lembra de Jund da anterior época de Standard? Em Extended mantém-se um mid-range altamente competitivo, com cartas que Extended lhe dá como Boggart Ram-Gang, Demigod of Revenge e Kitchen Finks torna-se ainda mais consistente. Além disso é o deck ideal para usar Anathemancer carta que num ambiente onde as bases de mana são praticamente não básicas pode ser um trunfo excelente.

Steel Artifact
Também chamado de “o novo Affinity” este deck tira partido da sua velocidade, rapidamente consegue fazer com que as criaturas artefacto fiquem enormes e rapidamente ganha o jogo. Ajudado por cartas de disrruption como Thoughtseize e Tidehollow Sculler e com a Thopter Foundry para ter sempre resposta para o removal do oponente, é um deck que embora possa parecer frágil à primeira vista é bastante consistente.
