Report Torneio de Natal Arena por Filipe Fernandes Decorreu no passado Sábado o grande evento de Natal organizado pela Arena-Lisboa no Instituto Superior Técnico. O GPT/Sealed Deck contou com a participação de 87 jogadores (7 rondas suíças + top 8 booster draft), sendo o maior GPT alguma vez organizado em Portugal e, por isso mesmo, o primeiro a oferecer byes de 3ª ronda para o GP Paris aos primeiros 4 classificados.

Dado o meu estado de saúde pouco recomendavel e  querer manter a voz até ao fim do dia, os inícios e fins de ronda foram dados à futebol, uma coisa é certa, não ouvi ninguém dizer “Ah e tal, não tinha ouvido dizer que ronda tinha acabado” :b

Se calhar para os próximos PTQs levo uma buzina a gás :b

O Legacy contou com a participação de 33 jogadores (6 rondas suíças) e, segundo ouvi e do pouco que vi (já que estive principalmente no Sealed), decorreu num excelente ambiente, o que me faz pensar que quem participou, gostou.

Ainda assim, e apesar disso, a participação foi abaixo do esperado (considerando os prémios que foram oferecidos e mesmo tendo em conta que alguns jogadores de Legacy estavam a jogar o Sealed) pelo que, após discussão com a organização, ficou decidido que não se prevê a organização de algo do género nesse formato para os próximos tempos (pelo menos não com estes prémios).

O torneio de Extended contou com a participação de 30 jogadores (5 rondas suíças) que, tendo em conta que era um side-event, foi uma excelente participação. Decorreu também num excelente ambiente, era o torneio do evento cujos prémios (apesar de serem bastante superiores a qualquer normal torneio) eram menores (quando comparados com o Sealed e o Legacy) pelo que os jogadores jogavam “mais descontraídos”.

Realizaram-se ainda 2 Drafts.

Resumindo, foi um dia bastante bem passado e espero que tenham gostado.
